What's in a Journey...

Like I said before, this year was a doozy; throwing anything and everything my way. But as the same time, this year was the best year of my life. I lived and I grew and I took a step closer to who I am meant to be. I think, or I could have wasted a whole year becoming less like the person I’m meant to be. But I don’t think that’s the case.

So this summer and moving on for atleast the rest of my collegiate years, I’m gonna a keep a journal. Not like a diary that logs the happenings of my day or a breakdown of what happened, but more like a reflection. On what, not totally sure, but that’s not the point. The point is to somehow put to words how I feel or think so I can better understand my own views. A lot of what happened this semester was a test of my views and beliefs, some of them held and others had to be reviewed and changed. So I think it might be time to figure out exactly what I believe and why.

I've Been Away...

Soooo…

This semester was crazy. I got overloaded on school work, personal issues, sorority stuff, officer stuff, family stuff and started living what I think is called “real life”. And that is why I was gone for so long. But now that I can breathe again and am home, sleeping in my own comfy bed, I am back.

I really think I grew up this semester. I had big girl problems that I had to learn how to solve in big girl ways. I got my first job, I got serious about studying for exams, I had to make choices about priorities with both my time and effort and I think I came out on top, but the jury’s still out on that one.

More info to come on how the semester went, what I learned, what I still need to learn and where/how I’ll be spending this summer!

Day 9 - Something you're proud of in the past few days..

I’ve actually had a really productive past few days!

But I am most proud of the fact that I was nominated to be the Head Delegate for the bylaw review committee at our Panhellenic Council. This means I will be able to have a major role in the re-write of our bylaws and in the direction of the future of our Panhellenic Council.
